Today's work. (click to enlarge) Have to move the figure up higher, and lengthen the area below the knee. Need to add more putti, and put a baby in her arms, then I can transfer.
how astute! I have redone her face for better recognition from the 3/4 view to front view. I use graphite on the back of the tissue paper for transfer.
I have tried them, but I do not like the extra black smudges I seem to get... the white of the canvas is so important to me, and glazes do not cover black smudges.

Ever try carbon or graphite paper? By attaching it to the canvas, then putting the sketches on top, you could trace your lines to the canvas - once!
