Kate Kretz attended The Sorbonne in Paris, earned her BFA from SUNY Binghamton, and her MFA from The University of Georgia. She was BFA Director and an Associate Professor of Art at FIU in Miami for ten years. She currently works in her studio and gives lectures and workshops at various universities.

Hi Kate, Great self portrait. Don't know if you remember me, but I had you for several painting classes at FIU, I went by Glenda Baker then. Anyway, I found your site from Edward Winkelman's blog and I have been meaning to write for awhile. Congratulations on all your successes with your work. I am glad to say I knew you when. I hope we can keep in touch.
