A Different Kind of Art

Well, because we had guests last weekend, the house was clean, so I put together a Stitch-N-Bitch party for this afternoon. Been wanting to try out this recipe: Pistachio Cupcakes with Rosewater Buttercream Frosting.
Instead of cupcakes, I made a 4 layer cake, brushed rose syrup on each layer before I spread the frosting. It turned out pretty well, and was gorgeous inside with the pistachio green and the pink of the syrup.
The immediate gratification of baking is sometimes needed to temper those 2 month hair embroidery projects.
