Those views of the back of the embroidery give me the willies - yeesh. Looks like stitches...the kind you get from an injury.
The front is looking gorgeous - the way you have achieved the density in the clouds at the top of the tornado through varying thickness and color of the threads and the layers of hatching is fantastic...brava!!!
Kate Kretz attended The Sorbonne in Paris, earned her BFA from SUNY Binghamton, and her MFA from The University of Georgia. She was BFA Director and an Associate Professor of Art at FIU in Miami for ten years. She currently works in her studio and gives lectures and workshops at various universities.
