gorgeous and creepy! there's something very scared-hearty catholic about the colors. it also reminds me of 'sacred ovaries.'

I find this piece very striking but I am only judging from a jpeg. The 'heart' has a vast iconography. You make no mention of yours especially the thinking behind using embroidery?! Will it be put under glass as conservation will be a problem in the future?
I love this piece so much--I keep coming back to look at it. Would love to stare at it in person, but am on the other side of the country. It's really lovely and I expect to come back and sit with it some more.
